About Top Dawgs and Brandt Wilson

Brandt WilsonBrandt Wilson, has been teaching North Bay residents how to better their relationship with their canine companions for the last 12 years. Managing a successful business built, and still run on, referrals only, Brandt has been busy year after year working one-on-one with owners and their dogs.

Brandt began his career in professional animal training caring for hundreds of wild and exotic animals at the Wildlife Waystation in Southern California. He then went on to graduate from The Exotic Animal Training and Management Program at Moorpark College in 1992. Before Brandt found his present career choice, he worked at Marine World Africa USA training elephants. Having worked and studied with numerous professionals in his field Brandt has developed a true understanding of the language needed to successfully communicate with your dog.

In 1995, Brandt opened his own training business, Top Dawgs. The training philosophy is logical and simple. It is based on the wolf pack relationship. Consistent, clear cues, emphasizing positive reinforcement for good behavior while setting defined boundaries for the undesirable. By establishing and maintaining leadership, you make it easier for your dog to respect, respond and bond with you through consistent behavior.  Brandt will give you the tools you need to make this happen.

Canine clients range from puppies to aggressive dogs with everything in between. Initial visits generally take about two hours. Brandt will explain the methodology behind dog behavior and how to create success. Each follow-up visit is one and a half hours and will further strengthen your understanding of canine communication.

Brandt Wilson currently resides in Calistoga with his wife, Heather, three young sons, Jaysen, Ben and Ryan and dogs, Henry and Paco.

Brandt Wilson was recently featured in the Calistoga Tribune.
